Opening a Seagate Expansion Portable 750GB External Hard Drive

Putting a HDD from Seagate Expansion Portable 750 GB External Hard Drive into a USB 3.0 casing seems like a good idea! Having a relatively slow transfer rate for its size, and some power-saving issues (sometimes it won't wake after going to sleep)... This video will teach you how to open it, and discover that inside lies a mysterious ST9750430AS 2.5" SATA drive, that being 15mm thick, hardly fits into generally available 2.5" cases. However, you can use the USB3.0 controller from a Sharkoon Quickstore Portable USB3.0, and make it twice as fast, as shown in my next video! DISCLAIMER: This video is for educational purposes only. Anything you do with your gadgets is at your own risk, and opening them will certainly void the warranty. I CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG.
